Class 16: October 8, 2026 · ENTR 5000

Workday reminder for October 8, 2026. These instructions come from the October 6 class summary. For current requirements and due dates, use the assignment guidelines and semester schedule.

Independent project workday

Thursday, October 8 was an independent workday with no regular classroom meeting. Work wherever is useful and devote about a class period to your project, following the October 6 summary.

Each student should post an update in their project channel sometime that day and @mention John. Say what you worked on and identify any questions or blockers. The announced plan was for John to review those updates Friday or by lunchtime Monday, October 12.

Use the workday to make useful project progress and prepare for the next sprint presentation. Choose a small experience you can put in someone’s hands and a question the test can answer; a polished demo and evidence of customer value are different achievements.

Prepare for Tuesday, October 13

Have your Sprint 2 deck or site ready by 1 p.m. The presentation limit is a hard 3½ minutes. Follow the presentation checklist and the October 6 presentation guidance.

Cover a benefit-focused elevator pitch, entrepreneurship progress, AI/development progress, and one or two next priorities in each domain. Share your materials in the designated Slack thread and watch for presentation order. Practice with a timer; the recommendation was at least three runs, aiming for two clean runs under the limit.

This is a reminder of the workday and preparation instructions already given, not a new assignment or a report of an in-person lecture.
